Job Description

• Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for ETL workflows and data pipelines.
  • Define testing objectives, scope, timelines, and resource planning.
  • Lead, guide, and mentor the ETL testing team.
  • Allocate tasks, review deliverables, and provide technical support to team members.
  • Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and developers to understand functional and technical requirements.
  • Participate in discussions, review meetings, and help resolve data or workflow-related issues.
  • Monitor and analyse data quality metrics, identify gaps, and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Drive improvements in data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and verification between source and target systems.
  • Use SQL and ETL validation tools for checking data accuracy, transformations, and mappings.
  • Oversee execution of manual and automated test cases.
  • Validate ETL workflows, transformations, and end-to-end data loads.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using standard tools (JIRA, ALM).
  • Work with developers for quick and effective resolution.
  • Prepare and share test progress reports, defect summaries, quality metrics, and risk updates with stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely communication on testing status and release readiness.
  • Create and maintain documentation including test plans, test cases, data flow diagrams, and test results.
  • Ensure all testing artifacts are updated, reviewed, and maintained as per process standards.
