- As a Technical Support Professional at IBM, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing vital technical support and assistance to address their software issues. - Whether working on internal projects or directly with clients, your technical know-how will be crucial in maintaining high levels of service and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for diagnosing problems, providing solutions, and continuously improving the client experience.
Required technical and professional expertise:
- 5+ years of experience working with z/OS mainframe systems.
- 5+ years of experience in CICS system administration.
- Strong understanding of CICS architecture and the components that make up CICS applications.
- Experience in upgrading and customizing CICS.
- Strong Problem Determination skills, including the use of CICS dump and trace diagnostic tools.
- Ability to take a leading role in Critical Situation resolution.
- Experience working in virtual cross-functional teams (teamwork is essential).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical clients.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, stay organized, and work independently.
Preferred technical and professional experience:
- Prior experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, such as Salesforce.
- Experience with debugging tools like IPCS and Fault Analyzer.
- Familiarity with USS, TCP/IP, SMP/E, RACF, VSAM.
- Experience in technologies like IMS, DB2, WAS, SSL, MQ, DevOps.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Assembler, PL/I, COBOL, Java.
- Knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
