• Job Description:

  As a GitHub Copilot Specialist, you will define best practices, governance, and usage guidelines for GitHub Copilot within the organization. You will drive adoption, mentor development teams, and ensure that AI-assisted coding is leveraged effectively to improve productivity, collaboration, and code quality.

  Key Responsibilities:

  1. AI Tools Enablement & Governance

     • Define best practices, governance models, and usage guidelines for GitHub Copilot.

     • Evaluate and recommend extensions, plugins, and integrations to improve developer experience.

  2. Training & Mentoring

     • Conduct workshops, training sessions, and hands-on demos to upskill development teams.

     • Mentor developers on effective collaboration with AI tools like GitHub Copilot.

  3. Innovation & Continuous Learning

     • Stay updated on Copilot features, capabilities, and limitations.

     • Promote adoption of AI-assisted development practices across teams.

  Required Skills & Profile:

  • 12+ years of experience in software development, with expertise in Java, PHP, Python, or ABAP.

  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot and deep understanding of its capabilities.

  • Proven leadership in development teams and technical initiatives.

  • Experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, and GitHub Advanced Security.

  • Exposure to other AI coding assistants (e.g., Amazon CodeWhisperer).

  • Experience in setting up internal developer platforms or developer experience initiatives.
