Job Description: HiL Testing Engineer
Test Execution
- Perform HIL-based functional and integration testing for automotive ECUs such as Powertrain, ADAS, and Body Control.
- Execute automated and manual test cases on HIL benches.
Test Development
- Assist in creating and maintaining test scripts using tools such as dSPACE, Vector CANoe, or NI VeriStand (any one is mandatory).
- Support the transition from Model-in-the-Loop (MIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing to HIL testing.
System Setup and Maintenance
- Configure HIL systems including signal mapping, I/O configuration, and simulation models.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on HIL benches.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect and analyze test results. Document defects and anomalies identified during testing.
- Prepare test reports and communicate findings to development and validation teams.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure adherence to automotive standards such as ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and OEM-specific guidelines.
Collaboration
- Work closely with software developers, system engineers, and validation teams to resolve issues effectively.
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of automotive ECUs and communication protocols including CAN, LIN, and FlexRay.
- Familiarity with HIL platforms such as dSPACE, NI, or ETAS.
- Experience with tools like CANoe and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Understanding of embedded systems and real-time simulation concepts.
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in automotive testing, preferably in HIL testing environments.
