• A Day in the Life of an Infoscion

  As part of the Infosys delivery team, your primary responsibility is to ensure effective Design, Development, Validation, and Support of software applications. Your day-to-day tasks would include:

  • Gathering detailed client requirements and converting them into clear system specifications.

  • Supporting estimation processes by providing accurate effort and time projections to Technology Leads and Project Managers.

  • Playing a key role in developing and maintaining efficient, reliable, and scalable software systems.

  • Ensuring high levels of service delivery and contributing meaningfully to the client's digital transformation journey.

  Technical and Professional Requirements

  • Primary Skills:

    • Technology → Mainframe Technologies → Information Management Tools

    • Hands-on experience in mainframe environments (COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, VSAM, etc.)

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Technology → Full Stack → Java Full Stack

    • Knowledge of backend technologies like Java and Spring Boot, and frontend frameworks such as Angular/React.

  Additional Responsibilities & Competencies

  • Sound knowledge of software design principles and architecture fundamentals.

  • Understanding of performance engineering and optimization strategies.

  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and estimation techniques.

  • Ability to:

    • Translate functional and non-functional requirements into detailed system requirements.

    • Design and code complex software programs.

    • Write and execute test cases and scenarios based on technical specifications.

  • Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
