Job Description
Job Responsibilities :
Collaborate with the consulting team across various phases of the project including problem definition, effort estimation, diagnosis, solution design, and deployment.
Design, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL database solutions, including schemas, functions, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
Analyze business needs, create requirement specifications, and define to-be processes with detailed functional designs.
Conduct database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing to ensure efficiency and scalability.
Build Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate technical solutions and approaches.
Configure solutions, troubleshoot issues, diagnose root causes, and propose effective alternatives.
Ensure database security, backup, and recovery processes are in place.
Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and solution architects to integrate PostgreSQL with applications and services.
Contribute to organizational initiatives by delivering high-quality, value-driven solutions to clients.
Required Skills (Mandatory)
Strong experience as a PostgreSQL Developer.
Proficiency in writing SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
Hands-on experience in database design, normalization, and schema management.
Strong knowledge of query optimization and performance tuning techniques.
Experience with backup, recovery, and replication strategies.
Familiarity with database security and user management.
Preferred Skills
Experience with ETL processes and data migration.
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) for hybrid data solutions.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, GCP Cloud SQL).
Exposure to scripting languages (Python, Shell, Perl) for automation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work in Agile environments.
