We are hiring an experienced PostgreSQL Developer with strong database administration skills to join our Infosys consulting team. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases, ensuring their performance, reliability, and security while contributing to end-to-end project delivery.
Responsibilities:

Participate in all phases of the project, including problem definition, effort estimation, diagnosis, solution design, and deployment.

Develop, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases to ensure high performance and availability.

Research alternative solutions through literature surveys, public domain resources, and vendor evaluations.

Build proof of concepts (POCs) for recommended solutions.

Create requirement specifications from business needs, define to-be processes, and prepare detailed functional designs.

Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, performing root cause analysis.

Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

Contribute to organizational initiatives aimed at delivering high-quality, value-adding solutions to customers.
Key Skills:

Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL development and administration.

Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL programming.

Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.

Knowledge of replication, partitioning, and clustering for high availability.

Experience with Linux/Unix environments.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
