  Job Summary

  • Responsible for validating product quality by analyzing and testing the codebase.
  • Makes architectural decisions for the test codebase, including selection of tools and frameworks
  • Focuses on writing automated, repeatable test code to reduce manual testing and improve consistency.
  • Develops and maintains automation for front-end, middleware, and database systems using modern tools and anguages.
  • Provides input during multiple stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Collaborates with software engineers to write efficient automation code following coding standards and best practices.
  • Executes automated test suites and generates detailed execution reports.
  • Repairs complex automation scripts and maintains stability of test frameworks.
  • Conducts peer reviews of automation code to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Possesses deep expertise and skills in automation testing and related tools.
  • Independently prioritizes and manages own work.
  • Serves as a mentor and resource for less-experienced team members.
  Core Responsibilities

  • Write automated test code using the same standards as Software Engineers to ensure repeatable and reliable testing solutions.
  • Maintain automation codebase in version control systems (GIT, SVN).
  • Create and execute SQL queries for database validation.
  • Develop SOAP and RESTful API automated test scripts.
  • Create and maintain testing documentation, including Test Plans and Test Summary Reports.
  • Execute automated test scripts and present results to the team.
  • Analyze broken test cases, diagnose issues, and repair them to working order.
  • Perform code reviews of automation scripts and front-end codebases.
  • Diagnose and repair simple bugs in production code.
  • Serve as a guide and mentor for junior engineers, providing technical leadership and consultation on best practices.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
  • Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with flexibility to work nights, weekends, or variable schedules as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
