    • We are inviting applications for the role of Manager/Senior Manager, Property Accounting
    • The Manager/Senior Manager, Property Accounting, is a key financial leader responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of real estate assets. This role ensures compliance with GAAP, manages a team of accounting professionals, and partners cross-functionally with asset management, leasing, operations, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge of real estate accounting, strong managerial experience, and a proactive, strategic mindset.
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Supervise and mentor a team of property accountants, providing training, performance feedback, and an imperative role in their career development
    • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
    • Manage full-cycle property accounting for a diversified portfolio of commercial, residential, or mixed-use assets.
    • Review and analyze financials, budget-to-actual variances, and operational KPIs.
    • Partner with property managers, asset managers, leasing, and development teams to support property operations and strategic decisions
    • Review and approve CAM (Common Area Maintenance), real estate tax, and operating expense reconciliations
    • Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency in the accounting function, including automation, systems optimization, and workflow standardization
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and SOX compliance (if applicable)
    • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal finance partners during audits and tax reporting cycles
    • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and executive reporting to support business decisions
    • Provide insights via MBR & QBR in relation to portfolio monthly performance and recommend improvements
    • Set performance goals, conduct regular one-on-one meetings, and establish development plans to build internal accounting capabilities.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university
    2. 9 - 12 years of progressive accounting experience, with 5+ years in a supervisory or management role.
    3. Strong background in property or real estate accounting (commercial, multifamily, industrial, or retail).
    4. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
    5. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
    6. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
    7. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
