- Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to gather and understand user requirements for highly available and globally distributed services
- Contribute to system design documents considering dependencies, scalability, availability and resiliency
- Design, develop, test and deploy backend services for large scale cloud platforms
- Write reusable, maintainable and secure code to solve complex data management and performance challenges
- Collaborate with cross Azure engineering teams to deliver seamless data resiliency integrations
- Monitor services and act on service degradation, downtime or performance issues following operational playbooks
- Participate in live site accountability and assist in incident response and recovery actions
- Continuously improve system reliability, cost efficiency, observability and customer experience
- Stay updated with new technologies and apply learnings to improve system availability and efficiency
