  The Ford Credit Tech team in India is looking fo r an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test), who will be a key driver of our test automation strategy, focusing on the design, development, and maintenance of our automated testing infrastructure. This person will leverage their expertise in Java and Selenium to build and enhance our testing frameworks, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and adaptable to our evolving needs.
  • 8+ years of experience in software testing , with at least 5 years focused on test automation using Java, TypeScript, Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured 
  • Solid Java hands-on experience (collections, streams, REST clients, Maven/Gradle)
  • Solid TypeScript/JavaScript (ES6+, node-based test tools)
  • Experience writing SQL queries and generating synthetic data sets
  • Comfort with Git workflows and any CI server .
  • Strong grasp of testing fundamentals , including equivalence partitioning, boundary analysis, and negative testing
  • Exposure to contract testing (Pact), performance tools (k6/JMeter), or security scans (OWASP ZAP).
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering , or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in testing Web Services, Web UI and APIs
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-level test automation frameworks in a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills .
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills .
  • Understanding of relevant data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
