  • Test backend services and ensure API functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Review API specifications and understand request?response structures, payloads, and workflows.
  • Create and execute manual test cases for REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Validate status codes, headers, JSON/XML responses, and error handling.
  • Use tools such as Postman, Swagger, and Fiddler for manual API testing.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and negative testing on backend services.
  • Log defects with detailed steps, payloads, and expected vs actual results.
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, debug root causes, and verify fixes.
  • Participate in sprint planning, requirement review meetings, and provide QA sign-off.
  • Maintain test documentation, test data, and manage version control for QA artifacts.
