  Job Description:

  We are seeking an experienced z/OS Test Architect to architect, design, and develop test strategies for various z/OS components and features. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software testing lifecycle management, automation, and collaboration with global teams to drive continuous improvements in quality assurance.

  Key Responsibilities

  1. Architect, design, and develop comprehensive test strategies for z/OS components and features.

  2. Identify automation opportunities and implement automated test cases.

  3. Modernize test definition, implementation, and execution methodologies.

  4. Collaborate effectively with global testing teams to ensure quality and consistency.

  5. Drive continuous improvements across the software testing lifecycle.

  Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in software testing lifecycle, including unit testing, functional, and system testing preferably in OS or enterprise-class software products.

  • Hands-on experience with z/OS application development and testing.

  • Expertise in defining test cases and test automation.

  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, including Python, Selenium, MVS JCL, and REXX.

  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and defect identification skills.

  • Ability to collaborate closely with development teams for fix validation.

  • Quick learner of new testing tools and technologies.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global team environment.

  • Experience leading or mentoring junior team members.

  Preferred Skills & Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of z/OS architecture and system programming.

  • Familiarity with Linux environments.

  • Programming experience in Java and REST API integration testing.

  • Proficiency in dump reading and analysis using Interactive Problem Control System (IPCS).

  • Experience using GIT, JIRA, and Jenkins for version control, issue tracking, and CI/CD pipelines.
