• Job Description:

  We are seeking a Firmware Developer to join our Z Systems team, where we build some of the most secure enterprise systems in the world. You will work on technologies such as Dynamic Partition Manager (DPM) and Secure Service Containers (SSC) that provide advanced protection from cyber and insider threats. Your work will contribute directly to secure cloud deployment, virtualization management, and system configuration tools that enhance our enterprise clients' on-premise capabilities.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Firmware Solutions for IBM Z Systems focusing on secure, scalable, and efficient deployments for enterprise customers.

  • Build and Enhance Secure Service Containers (SSC) to protect workloads against external and internal threats.

  • Contribute to the Development of Dynamic Partition Manager (DPM) to streamline Linux server configuration on mainframe systems.

  • Design and Implement Features related to container technology, cloud-native app development, and virtualization.

  • Integrate and Manage RESTful APIs and DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment workflows.

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Global Teams to deliver high-quality firmware products and services.

  • Participate in Security, Networking, and Storage Enhancements to improve the performance and resilience of mainframe environments.

  • Learn and Innovate through direct mentoring, hands-on projects, and access to IBM?s advanced training and technical resources.
