• Job Description:

  You will work in Software Engineering, focusing on the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of software solutions within the Guidewire PolicyCenter platform. This role demands expertise in Guidewire development, strong knowledge of the P&C insurance domain, and the ability to apply software engineering best practices throughout the software lifecycle.

  Preferred Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proven experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter development.

  • Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain concepts, including Policy, Claims, and Billing applications.

  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming, applying design standards and best practices.

  • Expertise in GOSU language for planning, designing, developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining application code within Guidewire PolicyCenter.

  • Experience configuring screen layouts and creating new screens (PCFs).

  • Configuration of operational and administrative parameters such as roles, permissions, user attributes, regions, and activity patterns.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve issues identified during testing of configuration requirements.

  • Organize code merges and manage environment-related tasks.

  • Perform minor and major upgrades of Guidewire software.

  • Develop and maintain GUnit/JUnit tests for validating business logic.

  • Manage projects, programs, and teams of varying sizes.

  • Architect and design solutions, presenting various options with estimates effectively.

  • Assist in GOSU code reviews, perform code cleanups, and support sprint demos.

  • Apply scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering problems.

  • Collaborate as a team player with other engineers and stakeholders.
