Guidewire developer

Job Description:

This is a role for an experienced Guidewire Developer specializing in insurance technology solutions, requiring expertise in Property & Casualty insurance domain and hands-on experience with Guidewire products.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Development & Implementation:
- Develop and configure Guidewire applications across Policy, Billing, Claims, and Integration modules
- Implement and maintain Insurance Now and Portal solutions
- Design and modify existing workflows, particularly for Billing Integration
- Handle admin data loading and database management tasks
- Develop and integrate web services using XML and GxModel
- Implement messaging systems and batch processing solutions
System Integration & Architecture:
- Integrate Guidewire systems with third-party applications
- Work with document composition tools like Xpressions and Thunderhead
- Manage database operations on Oracle/SQL Server platforms
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries
Project Management & Collaboration:
- Participate in SCRUM Agile methodology
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance and documentation
Key Skills Required:

Technical Skills:
- Guidewire Expertise: Policy, Billing, Claims, Integration, Configuration, Insurance Now, Portal, Rating
- Insurance Domain: Property & Casualty background essential
- Database: Oracle or SQL Server with strong SQL knowledge
- Integration: Web services, XML, GxModel, messaging, batch implementation
- Document Tools: Xpressions, Thunderhead experience
- Workflow Design: Ability to design and modify existing workflows
Professional Skills:
- Methodology: SCRUM Agile experience (Certified Scrum Master preferred)
