• Job Description:

  Java Developer role in Infosys Application Development and Maintenance team, focusing on designing, building and maintaining efficient Java applications using Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user requirements and envision system features and functionality
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java codes
  • Set expectations and feature priorities throughout development life cycle
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, recommend system solutions
  • Compare advantages and disadvantages of custom development
  • Contribute to team meetings and troubleshoot development/production problems
  • Understand architecture requirements and ensure effective Design, Development, Validation and Support activities

  Required Skills:

  Technical Skill Set:

  • Java, Spring Boot, Microservices
  • JSP, JDBC, J2EE
  • Struts, Spring, Hibernate

  Core Java Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of design issues and best practices
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Familiarity with design and architectural patterns
  • Software development process knowledge
  • Experience with external and embedded databases
  • Creating database schemas for business processes
  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

  Preferred:

  • Core Java
  • Spring Boot

  Professional Skills:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with remote teams
  • High flexibility to travel
