  • Job description:
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Strong command over COBOL programming and JCL scripting for batch job execution and system integration.
    • Experience with mainframe tools like ISPF, TSO, and File-AID.
    • Skilled in working with DB2, VSAM, and writing complex SQL queries for data processing and analysis.
    • Hands-on experience in CICS for online transaction processing.
    • Proficient in using debugging tools like Xpediter or InterTest to identify and fix issues in legacy codebases.
    • Experience in maintaining and enhancing legacy systems in production environments.
    Prefred skills:
    1. Ability to write or optimize performance-critical routines using IBM High-Level Assembler.
    2. Familiarity with integrating mainframe systems into DevOps pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git
    3. Understanding of how mainframe systems integrate with other platforms (e.g., APIs, middleware).
    4. Business domain knowledge in insurance adds significant value.
    5. Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Slack, and code review practices.
