Job Description

• Job Description:

  The Back-End Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain software programs and data pipelines deployed at client sites. The role focuses on leveraging Palantir Foundry and other data engineering tools to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions that meet both technical and customer requirements.

  Key Responsibilities:

  1. Development & Design

     • Develop back-end code leveraging semantic object linking (ontologies) in Palantir Foundry Pipeline Builder, Code Workbook, and Ontology Manager.

     • Create servers, databases, and datasets as per project requirements.

     • Perform coding to fix errors, optimize performance, and upgrade interfaces.

  2. Data & Pipeline Management

     • Ensure the health and reliability of data connections and pipelines using filesystem, JDBC, SFTP, and webhooks.

     • Maintain security and compliance on sensitive datasets.

  3. Testing & Optimization

     • Ensure responsiveness and cross-platform optimization of web applications (including mobile).

     • Conduct testing and validation of code and pipelines.

  4. Project & Customer Management

     • Drive projects from conception to delivery, meeting both technical and customer requirements.

     • Capture client requirements, provide timely updates, and address feedback.

     • Collaborate with multi-cultural, multi-functional teams across geographies.

  5. Continuous Learning & Improvement

     • Stay updated on emerging technologies, programming languages, and best practices in web and data applications.

  Required Skills:

  Technical Skills:

  • Back-End / Data: Python, PySpark, Java, Apache Spark, Spark SQL

  • Front-End / Database: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB

  • Experience with Palantir Foundry (Pipeline Builder, Code Workbook, Ontology Manager)

  • Knowledge of data pipelines, server management, and database design

  • Familiarity with security protocols and compliance standards
