Job Description:
The Professional, Platform Engineering role is responsible for maintaining and partnering in the design and development of digital technology infrastructure that supports IT applications and services. With limited supervision, this role collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement new features that align with user needs and business goals. It also focuses on upgrading existing platforms to enhance performance and functionality by writing clean, efficient, and scalable code, as well as troubleshooting and debugging moderately complex issues. This position actively participates in code reviews to ensure high code quality and fosters knowledge sharing within the platform engineering team.
Key Responsibility:

Software Development:
Collaborates in designing and developing high-quality software solutions by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code. -
Automation:
Utilizes internal deployment platforms, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and twelve-factor app methodology to automate deployments for smooth and reliable releases. -
Collaboration:
Works closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to gather moderately complex requirements and deliver solutions that align with business needs. -
Testing & Debugging:
Develops and maintains unit and integration tests, applies Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles, and performs debugging to ensure performance and code quality. -
Continuous Improvement:
Identifies opportunities to enhance the software development and deployment lifecycle and implements approved best practices to increase efficiency and reliability. -
Documentation:
Creates and maintains detailed documentation for software applications, deployment procedures, and system configurations. -
Technical Support:
Provides technical support and resolves moderately complex issues for deployed applications, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolutions.
