• Job Description:

  Work on testing NFS and SMB protocol features through comprehensive test planning, automation development, and validation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure protocol functionality, performance, and reliability in enterprise storage solutions.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning & Strategy: Design test strategy and plans for NFS/SMB protocol features, collaborate with developers and architects
  • Protocol Validation: Perform functional, regression, and negative testing of NFS/SMB implementations
  • Automation Development: Develop automated test suites using Python, Shell, Pytest, or Robot Framework
  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate test automation into continuous integration/deployment pipelines
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging: Investigate test failures, protocol anomalies, and performance issues
  • Documentation: Create test cases, procedures, automation workflows, and detailed bug reports

  Required Technical Skills:

  • Testing Experience: 3+ years in test automation and manual testing, 1+ years in core protocol testing
  • Protocol Knowledge: Understanding of stateless vs stateful protocols, share-level and file-level permissions
  • Python: 2+ years experience in automation test suites, REST API interaction, and data validation
  • Frameworks: Understanding of Pytest and/or Robot Framework
  • Tools: File I/O tools, network tools, and log parsing capabilities
  • Linux: Debugging and troubleshooting in Linux environment
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with Maven, Git, and Jenkins

  Preferred Technical Skills:

  • NFS Expertise: NFS exports, mounts, ACLs, and Kerberos integration
  • Authentication: Active Directory integration, NTLM, Kerberos knowledge
  • Storage: Familiarity with storage and data protection products
