Job Description

• Job Description:

  • Design, develop, and test features for Core RADOS/Crimson based on analysis of user feedback and product priorities.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Engineering, Product Management, Documentation, Product Build teams, and the open-source Ceph community.

  • Monitor and resolve issues from functional, non-functional, platform, acceptance testing, and customer feedback.

  • Provide feedback to Ceph engineers and community members on code and designs.

  • Assist Quality and Performance Engineering teams in building and executing test plans.

  • Work closely with customers and customer-facing teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

  Required Education

  • Bachelor?s Degree

  Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proficient in C/C++, Python, and familiarity with the Seastar framework (bonus).

  • Experience with Git, Linux, and container technologies.

  • Background in large-scale distributed systems projects.

  • Strong debugging skills for both live systems and offline core files.

  • Ability to manage multiple software projects under tight deadlines.

  • Effective communication skills across global or multi-office development/testing teams.

  Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Experience working on open-source projects.

  • Familiarity with Ceph in any capacity.

  • Knowledge of performance benchmarking tools.
