  As a Software Engineer at IBM ISDL, you will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and support of cutting-edge IBM Systems products. You'll work across core systems technologies such as Operating Systems, Firmware, Systems Software, Storage Software, and Cloud Software, contributing to the entire software development life cycle.

  Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all phases of product development?design, development, testing, and support.

  • Analyze product requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies.

  • Develop high-quality code in languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, GoLang, and web technologies like ReactJS and Groovy.

  • Implement scalable solutions based on modern systems architectures including microservices, Kubernetes/Docker, and cloud-native platforms.

  • Work with global product management teams and end-users to deliver world-class solutions.

  • Contribute to validation, debugging, deployment, and performance tuning of IBM Systems software.

  Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, Java, Python, GoLang, ReactJS, or Groovy.

  • Deep understanding of Operating Systems concepts, especially Unix/Linux internals, data structures, and algorithms.

  • Hands-on experience with Virtualization and Cloud Computing (Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker).

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team.

  • Bachelor's/Master?s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related fields.

  Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Exposure to technologies such as OpenStack, DevOps, Cloud Security, and Application Development on cloud platforms.

  • Experience with Web UI frameworks (e.g., Vaadin, ReactJS) and styling libraries like Bootstrap or Material UI.

  • Familiarity with J2EE, JSP, RESTful services, and GraphQL APIs.

  • Working knowledge of Ansible, NodeJS, SQL, and database integration.

  • Understanding of AI/ML, Data Science, NLP, and related analytical tools.

  • Experience in server performance monitoring, capacity planning, and performance diagnostics.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to contribute positively to team success.
