We are seeking a highly skilled GTM Software Engineer with expertise in server-side tagging to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing Google Tag Manager (GTM) server-side containers, integrating data with marketing and analytics platforms, and ensuring data privacy and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and configure server-side containers:
Set up and manage server-side GTM containers including tags, triggers, and variables.Develop and maintain server-side code:
Write and manage custom server-side code or libraries to support data processing and tagging requirements.Manage data collection and transformation:
Design logic for data collection, validation, enrichment, and transformation at the server level.Integrate with analytics and marketing platforms:
Connect GTM server-side setup with client-side tracking, analytics tools, advertising networks, and other third-party platforms.Optimize data flow and processing:
Ensure data is correctly normalized, processed, and routed to the correct destinations with high reliability and performance.Ensure performance and scalability:
Build server-side tagging setups that scale with traffic while maintaining minimal latency.Data privacy and compliance:
Implement data security and compliance measures aligned with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.Troubleshoot and maintain infrastructure:
Monitor and optimize server performance; diagnose and resolve tagging-related issues.Team collaboration:
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, analytics, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Node.js.
Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
Experience with server-side technologies such as web servers, APIs, and databases.
Familiarity with web technologies: HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Experience working with data formats such as JSON and XML.
Knowledge of server-side tagging principles and GTM architecture.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
