As a Technical Consultant at IBM, you will harness the power of data to uncover meaningful insights, transform business processes, and deliver cutting-edge industrial solutions. Your role bridges data engineering, IIoT systems, and AI model integration.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and validate predictive and statistical models focused on large-scale data, using statistical and machine learning techniques.

Work on both batch and real-time processing systems to handle diverse datasets.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select appropriate data management architectures and design efficient data flows.

Build, cleanse, and integrate complex and unstructured datasets.

Design and implement enterprise search applications using tools like Elasticsearch and Splunk.

Operate in an Agile, collaborative environment, partnering with scientists, engineers, consultants, and DBAs.

Develop predictive or prescriptive models, and evaluate results for business value.

Design, implement, and maintain IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) solutions, focusing on OPC UA, edge computing, and secure industrial operations.

Document solution architectures, decisions, and implementation practices.

Stay current with advancements in AI, foundation models, and large language models (LLMs).

Evaluate and experiment with emerging tools, platforms, and frameworks to optimize design and implementation strategies.
Required Technical & Professional Expertise:
-
Solid experience in Data Engineering and predictive modeling
-
Experience with IIoT systems, especially using OPC UA and companion specifications

Expertise in edge computing and secure industrial architecture

Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Splunk, or similar tools

Understanding of statistical and machine learning models

Familiarity with both structured and unstructured data integration

Strong documentation, architecture, and implementation skills
Preferred Technical & Professional Experience:
-
Experience in COBOL and Java is a strong advantage

Knowledge in code generation, code matching, and code translation using LLM (Large Language Model) capabilities is a plus

Exposure to AI-driven applications, especially foundation models
