• Job Description:

  We are looking for a highly skilled Windchill and Java Expert who can handle both light and heavy customizations using Java and Windchill APIs. The ideal candidate should be experienced in data modeling, Windchill REST services, and WBM (Windchill Business Modeling), with a deep understanding of Windchill versions R12 or R11 and familiarity with R8/R9.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform both lightweight and deep Java-based customizations in Windchill.

  • Utilize PTC Windchill Java APIs to extend and enhance Windchill functionality.

  • Design and manage complex Windchill data models.

  • Develop and consume Web services (OData/RESTful APIs) within the Windchill environment.

  • Collaborate with teams to implement business workflows using WBM.

  • Work with Windchill Heavy Clients, handling version upgrades and module extensions.

  • Ensure compatibility with Windchill R12/R11, and optionally support legacy R8/R9 platforms.

  • Integrate Windchill with external systems using Spring Framework and other middleware tools.

  Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Windchill customization using Java

  • Deep knowledge of PTC Windchill Java APIs

  • Experience in Windchill R12 or R11, with knowledge of R8/R9 as a plus

  • Proven skills in Web service development (OData, REST)

  • Proficiency with WBM (Windchill Business Modeling)

  • Java development experience with Spring framework

  • Experience with Heavy Clients in Windchill environments

  • Knowledge of Windchill PLM integrations

  • Familiarity with Creo/ProE integrations
