Job Description:
As a Data Engineer at IBM, you will harness the power of data to uncover meaningful patterns, enable real-time decision-making, and improve business processes. Your role will go beyond data management ? you will actively participate in building intelligent workflows using Appian, BPM tools, and enterprise system integrations.
You will collaborate across multiple departments to select the right data architecture, integrate disparate data sources, and automate key business operations. This position is ideal for someone passionate about both data engineering and business process management (BPM) systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement business process workflows using tools like Appian, IBM BPM, Camunda, or Pega.

Build scalable, high-performance solutions for batch and real-time data processing.

Automate manual business processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational load.

Integrate BPM solutions with enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM using APIs and web services.

Collaborate with business analysts, IT teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Troubleshoot, test, and optimize BPM applications to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for process designs, configurations, and technical implementations.

Work with unstructured and structured data to solve complex data integration challenges.
Technical & Professional Expertise (Required):

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Appian development and design.

Strong understanding of database systems and proficiency in at least one major database:

Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL

Proficiency in designing BPM workflows and automating business processes using platforms like:
-
IBM BPM, Appian, Camunda, Pega

Experience integrating BPM systems with enterprise platforms via APIs and web services.

Solid grasp of data concepts, ETL, and processing architectures.
Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with data pipeline tools and data modeling.

Experience with data visualization and reporting dashboards (nice to have).

Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices for BPM deployment.

Exposure to cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud).
